Went trail running again today with a bunch of my soccer team mates. We are trying to get ready for our upcoming season and somehow decided that running would be good for us. My ankles finally recovered from last week’s run in the hills! I’m convinced that trail running is twice as difficult as running on the pavement! I swear I can run 6-7 miles easily now on the greenbelt, but put me on a dirt trail with hills and I croak. Anyway, was a good workout.

I agree about the trails, but I love running on them. I run on a dirt bike trail. It’s sandy, lumpy, and bumpy. It’s kind of nice because it gives me something to think about (where I put my feet). It makes the time go by faster, for me. And I think it strengthens all those little muscles and tendons around your ankle that you wouldn’t normaly be using, on a flat surfice.
