Yesterday I took my kids to Krispy Kreme for a special treat. We took a box of assorted donuts home. Now being a nutritionist/Registered Dietitian, I know how bad donuts are for you, but I have to say they are addicting! All day they were calling my name….I ended up eating a plain one, a blueberry one AND an apple fritter. The rest of the day I felt bloated, tired and disgusted with myself. So this morning I got up early and went for a swim to try and burn off the donut residual. Thank god they are now all gone!

Went for another ride near Selway Falls and followed the river. At the top of the summit, we took a rest and my brother-in-law’s bike was leaning against a tree; next thing we know, the bike tips over and breaks his seat post right off!! He had to ride all the way back without a seat!!! The worst part for him was trying to keep his feet on the pedals because there were so many darn washboards. He was able to walk the next day, but his quads were bulging! Saw a doe and her 5 babies along the way, also saw 4 turkey vulture-if they aren’t the ugliest creatures on earth!

Took our bikes on our week-long camping trip on the Selway river in Idaho. What a great area for rafting, kayaking, swimming and biking/hiking! Went up a side road near O’Hara creek and had a nice ride, could have kept going but it was getting really hot!

Went running with the running group again. Ran along the Boise river and it was nice and cool. They didn’t have the water stations set up this time, boy I sure missed that! Anyway, was an ok run, I think I drank too much coffee before and then took a decongestant which wreaked havoc with my stomach! But all in all it was good and I improved my time!
